On May 25th Harmony Hill
was invited to Harmony Hill Elementary School in Cohoes, NY,
by the Student Leadership Team. We spent the entire day with the wonderful children from grades K – 5 and the great staff! We brought bunnies, chickens, baby and adult ducks and our
superstar of the day my rottie Moses! It ended up being a rainy day so we were unable to bring some of our rescued equines,
we did bring plenty of pictures to share.

We had a great time with the children talking about the RESPONSIBILITY of pet ownership, what it takes to CARE for a pet, how each and everyone of us should RESPECT animals and treat them with kindness, how we all can BECOME INVOLVED if we know anyone hurting or neglecting an animal and to consider ADOPTING A PET from your local animal shelter. Each child left with a bookmark as a reminder of what we talked about.

There was lots of interaction with the animals which the kids had a great time, especially passing around the rooster!

I want to thank the great staff at Harmony Hill Elementary for extending the invitation and allowing us this wonderful opportunity to spend time with children. I also want to thank my dad, Ron Murray and great friend Pat Murphy for all their help in pulling this together. Also, a shout out to Nanci Beyerl who stopped by to lend a hand with the animal handling! Thanks so much to all!!!

I also want to thank all the children for the great thank you notes and pictures, I absolutely love them and have read and reread them all, thank you so much!!!

We look forward to wonderful relationship with this group and hopefully next time can bring the horses!!!
