Meet The Animals

This is the rest of the gang at the farm. The majority of the group has lived their life in the lap of luxury as they were either born here or purchased at very young age. I have had a passion for animals my entire life and cherish them. My small hobby farm allows me to enjoy these wonderful creatures.

The Llamas…….

Rowan and Alexis are my latest additions. I have wanted llamas for a long time and these 2 lovely ladies joined the farm this spring. Both have very different temperaments and very different fiber. I am new to the llama world, so I have a lot to learn, but from what I can see so far, they both look fairly correct and I am enjoying them immensely!

Duck Haven...

Ducks are a passion of mine as well, especially the calls. I have accumulated about
50+ little noisy call ducks and about 15 or so large breed ducks, some of those have been rescues through auctions. I just love them! I am a member of the National Call Breeders of America.

Donkeys.....

Meet the newest additions to Harmony Hill!

Jenny & Seymour!

Jenny with Seymour in back

This pair was found at an out of state auction, we were there actually looking for a pony and stumbled upon these guys and could not pass them up! I have never had a donkey before and these two have instantly stolen my heart. They are lovable and affectionate, are fun to watch and are into EVERYTHING!!! Oh, and they do remind me VERY loudly when it is feeding time, I can’t imagine how they  ever managed before they came here. They are spoiled ROTTEN! These pictures are when they first arrived (May); they are looking a little rough around the edges. Seymour (chocolate) had no hair on his rump at all. He is now all filled in and very shiny, as well as Jenny! We plan on using these two for our educational programs as they are as gentle as can be and LOVE all the attention that they can get!

Chickens, free range...

Love the chickens. There are 16 heavy breed chickens that have 2+ acres every day to roam (fenced of course). I get about a dozen eggs a day from the girls. Can’t beat the taste of fresh eggs and once you have someone hooked on them, it is hard for them to go back to store bought.
